About Me

How I got here today

My name is Tamsin and I’m based in the South West of England, in Plymouth, Devon and live with my boyfriend and Sproodle Dave.   I set up TJVA after working for a Global Insurance Company for 25 years.  20 of those years was as a PA, assisting Chief Operating Officers, Call Centre and Customer Service Managers. 

My background of working with various levels of senior management has enabled me to adapt my communication style to my audience as required.  Having had multiple managers at the same time, often in different locations to myself,  I’ve mastered the art of prioritisation and time management.  Check out my linkedin profile here to see more about my experiences.

Why I'm here now

I decided to set up TJVA after being made redundant. I wanted to be able to help and support small businesses, sole traders and entrepreneurs with their workload and back office administration, which would enable them to focus on growing their business.  Go to my services page here to find out how these services can be of benefit to you.

My passions and values

Having a passion for organising and supporting people, becoming a Virtual Assistant seemed like the perfect way I could do this.

Having worked for the same company for 25 years, my key core value is definitely loyalty, but also hard work and flexibility. Being inquisitive and proactive and loving finding out how businesses work and how they interact with their customers and suppliers goes hand in hand with being a VA

Organising comes second nature to me and you’ll often find me in my spare time organising holidays, girls weekends away, fundraising events or just general get togethers.  I love to travel and a few years ago I put together an itinerary (who doesn’t love a good holiday itinerary) for a road trip to Croatia for myself, boyfriend and my parents (in one car).  It involved, flights, ferries, trains and accommodation and was an amazing way to see the country.  And we all survived.
